Coalfield Services, Inc. was founded in 1977. The company’s original business model was to provide construction and maintenance service work for the coal mining industry. However, the company has grown and diversified in the decades since its inception. While hard work, experience, and education has allowed us to successfully serve and continue to serve the coal industry, we have used those same characteristics to expand our customer base into many other industrial settings.
Our employees have decades of experience in engineering, construction and maintenance. Traditionally, we have specialized in the turn-key installation of ventilation fans, material handling systems, hoists and elevators for all mining industries. However, we can also provide a highly skilled work force to perform fundamental construction services for commercial and industrial projects. We also operate a 40,000 square foot fabrication shop at our home office in Wytheville, VA. Coalfield Services, Inc. has the skills, equipment, and expertise to fill virtually any industrial contracting need.
From its beginning, our company has served a variety of customers in mining, power generation, and heavy industry. Over the decades, our customer base has increased to include municipalities, government institutions, and manufacturing. Coalfield Services holds contractor and business licenses in most eastern and mid-western states as well as most mining states in the west.
